mtd: physmap_of: fixup gemini/versatile dependencies
physmap_of sort of depends on the gemini and versatile modules (when
they're enabled), but this isn't expressed in Kconfig. Let's just merge
the modules all together, when enabled. Then we can avoid exporting a
few symbols, and the versatile and gemini code can now be modular again
(the below commit accidentally made them built-in only).
Resolves errors like this:

We can get the read/write/erase opcode from the spi nor framework

mtd: spi-nor: add dt support for Everspin MRAMs
The MR25 family doesn't support JEDEC, so they need explicit mentioning
in the list of supported spi IDs. This makes it possible to add these
using for example:
compatible = "everspin,mr25h40";
There was already an entry for mr25h256. Move that one out of the "keep
for compatibility" section and put in a new group for Everspin MRAMs.

mtd: spi-nor: add a stateless method to support memory size above 128Mib
This patch provides an alternative mean to support memory above 16MiB
(128Mib) by replacing 3byte address op codes by their associated 4byte
address versions.
Using the dedicated 4byte address op codes doesn't change the internal
state of the SPI NOR memory as opposed to using other means such as
updating a Base Address Register (BAR) and sending command to enter/leave
the 4byte mode.
Hence when a CPU reset occurs, early bootloaders don't need to be aware
of BAR value or 4byte mode being enabled: they can still access the first
16MiB of the SPI NOR memory using the regular 3byte address op codes.

mtd: spi-nor: rename SPINOR_OP_* macros of the 4-byte address op codes
This patch renames the SPINOR_OP_* macros of the 4-byte address
instruction set so the new names all share a common pattern: the 4-byte
address name is built from the 3-byte address name appending the "_4B"
suffix.
The patch also introduces new op codes to support other SPI protocols such
as SPI 1-4-4 and SPI 1-2-2.
This is a transitional patch and will help a later patch of spi-nor.c
to automate the translation from the 3-byte address op codes into their
4-byte address version.

This driver adds mtd support for the Aspeed AST2500 SoC static memory

. CE2 can be of NOR type flash but this is not supported by the
driver

Each controller has a memory range on which it maps its flash module
slaves. Each slave is assigned a memory window for its mapping that
can be changed at bootime with the Segment Address Register.
Each SPI flash slave can then be accessed in two modes: Command and
User. When in User mode, accesses to the memory segment of the slaves
are translated in SPI transfers. When in Command mode, the HW
generates the SPI commands automatically and the memory segment is
accessed as if doing a MMIO.
Currently, only the User mode is supported. Command mode needs a
little more work to check that the memory window on the AHB bus fits
the module size.

mtd: spi-nor: remove WARN_ONCE() message in spi_nor_write()
This patch removes the WARN_ONCE() test in spi_nor_write().
This macro triggers the display of a warning message almost every time we
use a UBI file-system because a write operation is performed at offset 64,
which is in the middle of the SPI NOR memory page. This is a valid
operation for ubifs.
Hence this warning is pretty annoying and useless so we just remove it.

Xilinx Spartan-3AN FPGAs contain an In-System Flash where they keep
their configuration data and (optionally) some user data.
The protocol of this flash follows most of the spi-nor standard. With
the following differences:
- Page size might not be a power of two.
- The address calculation (default addressing mode).
- The spi nor commands used.

mtd: bcm47xxpart: move TRX parsing code to separated function
This change simplifies main parsing loop logic a bit. In future it may
be useful for moving TRX support to separated module / parser (if we
implement support for them at some point).
Finally parsing TRX at the end puts us in a better position as we have
better flash layout knowledge. It may be useful e.g. if it appears there
is more than 1 TRX partition.

mtd: bcm47xxsflash: support reading flash out of mapping window
For reading flash content we use MMIO but it's possible to read only
first 16 MiB this way. It's simply an arch design/limitation.
To support flash sizes bigger than 16 MiB implement indirect access
using ChipCommon registers.
This has been tested using MX25L25635F.

The fields max_bb_per_die and blocks_per_die are useful determining the
number of bad blocks a MTD needs to allocate. How they are set will

mtd: physmap_of: add a hook for Gemini flash probing
In order to support device tree probing of Gemini NOR flash
chips, a certain register in the syscon needs to be poked
to enable parallel flash mode.
Such things used to happen in "necessarily different" board
file code, and this indeed was also done for the Gemini, so
the MTD driver could treat it as any memory-mapped NOR flash,
but this is not the way in the future: board files need to
go, and hardware concerns distributed down to the applicable
drivers.
This adds a hook in the same way that the Versatile did: if
the Kconfig symbol is not selected the net total of supporting
Gemini should be zero bytes of added code. To live up to this
promise, also the return value error print from the Versatile
extra probe call get to be removed in this patch, all printing
need to happen in the add-ons.

Some operations, like read/write an entire page of data with the ECC
engine enabled, are known to take a lot of time. Use the interrupt-based

mtd: nand: ifc: Fix location of eccstat registers for IFC V1.0
The commit
7a654172161c ("mtd/ifc: Add support for IFC controller
version 2.0") added support for version 2.0 of the IFC controller.
The version 2.0 controller has the ECC status registers at a different
location to the previous versions.
Correct the fsl_ifc_nand structure so that the ECC status can be read
from the correct location for both version 1.0 and 2.0 of the controller.

mtd: nand: fsmc: remove stale non-DT probe path
The FSMC driver has an execution path and a header file in
<linux/mtd/fsmc.h> that serves to support passing in platform
data through board files, albeit no upstream users of this
mechanism exist.
The header file also contains function headers for functions that
do not exist in the kernel.
Delete this and move the platform data struct, parsing and
handling into the driver, assume we are using OF and make the
driver depend on OF, remove the ifdefs making that optional.

drm/i915: Check for NULL i915_vma in intel_unpin_fb_obj()
I've seen this trigger twice now, where the i915_gem_object_to_ggtt()
call in intel_unpin_fb_obj() returns NULL, resulting in an oops
immediately afterwards as the (inlined) call to i915_vma_unpin_fence()
tries to dereference it.
It seems to be some race condition where the object is going away at
shutdown time, since both times happened when shutting down the X

and this patch purely papers over the issue by adding a NULL pointer
check and a WARN_ON_ONCE() to avoid the oops that would then generally
make the machine unresponsive.
Other callers of i915_gem_object_to_ggtt() seem to also check for the
returned pointer being NULL and warn about it, so this clearly has
happened before in other places.
[ Reported it originally to the i915 developers on Jan 8, applying the
ugly workaround on my own now after triggering the problem for the
second time with no feedback.
This is likely to be the same bug reported as
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98829
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99134
which has a patch for the underlying problem, but it hasn't gotten to
me, so I'm applying the workaround. ]

parisc: Don't use BITS_PER_LONG in userspace-exported swab.h header
In swab.h the "#if BITS_PER_LONG > 32" breaks compiling userspace programs if
BITS_PER_LONG is #defined by userspace with the sizeof() compiler builtin.
Solve this problem by using __BITS_PER_LONG instead. Since we now
#include asm/bitsperlong.h avoid further potential userspace pollution
by moving the #define of SHIFT_PER_LONG to bitops.h which is not
exported to userspace.
This patch unbreaks compiling qemu on hppa/parisc.

RDMA/cma: Fix unknown symbol when CONFIG_IPV6 is not enabled
If IPV6 has not been enabled in the underlying kernel, we must avoid
calling IPV6 procedures in rdma_cm.ko.
This requires using "IS_ENABLED(CONFIG_IPV6)" in "if" statements
surrounding any code which calls external IPV6 procedures.
In the instance fixed here, procedure cma_bind_addr() called
ipv6_addr_type() -- which resulted in calling external procedure
__ipv6_addr_type().

ARC: [arcompact] handle unaligned access delay slot corner case
After emulating an unaligned access in delay slot of a branch, we
pretend as the delay slot never happened - so return back to actual
branch target (or next PC if branch was not taken).
Curently we did this by handling STATUS32.DE, we also need to clear the
BTA.T bit, which is disregarded when returning from original misaligned
exception, but could cause weirdness if it took the interrupt return
path (in case interrupt was acive too)
One ARC700 customer ran into this when enabling unaligned access fixup
for kernel mode accesses as well

xfs: prevent quotacheck from overloading inode lru
Quotacheck runs at mount time in situations where quota accounting must
be recalculated. In doing so, it uses bulkstat to visit every inode in
the filesystem. Historically, every inode processed during quotacheck
was released and immediately tagged for reclaim because quotacheck runs
before the superblock is marked active by the VFS. In other words,
the final iput() lead to an immediate ->destroy_inode() call, which
allowed the XFS background reclaim worker to start reclaiming inodes.
Commit
17c12bcd3 ("xfs: when replaying bmap operations, don't let
unlinked inodes get reaped") marks the XFS superblock active sooner as
part of the mount process to support caching inodes processed during log
recovery. This occurs before quotacheck and thus means all inodes
processed by quotacheck are inserted to the LRU on release. The
s_umount lock is held until the mount has completed and thus prevents
the shrinkers from operating on the sb. This means that quotacheck can
excessively populate the inode LRU and lead to OOM conditions on systems
without sufficient RAM.
Update the quotacheck bulkstat handler to set XFS_IGET_DONTCACHE on
inodes processed by quotacheck. This causes ->drop_inode() to return 1
and in turn causes iput_final() to evict the inode. This preserves the
original quotacheck behavior and prevents it from overloading the LRU
and running out of memory.

ISDN: eicon: silence misleading array-bounds warning
With some gcc versions, we get a warning about the eicon driver,
and that currently shows up as the only remaining warning in one
of the build bots:

gtp: fix cross netns recv on gtp socket
The use of the passed through netlink src_net to check for a
cross netns operation was wrong. Using the GTP socket and the
GTP netdevice is always correct (even if the netdev has been
moved to new netns after link creation).
Remove the now obsolete net field from gtp_dev.

gtp: clear DF bit on GTP packet tx
3GPP TS 29.281 and 3GPP TS 29.060 imply that GTP-U packets should be
sent with the DF bit cleared. For example 3GPP TS 29.060, Release 8,
Section 13.2.2:
> Backbone router: Any router in the backbone may fragment the GTP
> packet if needed, according to IPv4.

tcp: don't annotate mark on control socket from tcp_v6_send_response()
Unlike ipv4, this control socket is shared by all cpus so we cannot use
it as scratchpad area to annotate the mark that we pass to ip6_xmit().
Add a new parameter to ip6_xmit() to indicate the mark. The SCTP socket
family caches the flowi6 structure in the sctp_transport structure, so
we cannot use to carry the mark unless we later on reset it back, which
I discarded since it looks ugly to me.

drm/nouveau: Handle fbcon suspend/resume in seperate worker
Resuming from RPM can happen while already holding
dev->mode_config.mutex. This means we can't actually handle fbcon in
any RPM resume workers, since restoring fbcon requires grabbing
dev->mode_config.mutex again. So move the fbcon suspend/resume code into
it's own worker, and rely on that instead to avoid deadlocking.
This fixes more deadlocks for runtime suspending the GPU on the ThinkPad
W541. Reproduction recipe:
- Get a machine with both optimus and a nvidia card with connectors
attached to it
- Wait for the nvidia GPU to suspend
- Attempt to manually reprobe any of the connectors on the nvidia GPU
using sysfs
- *deadlock*

drm/nouveau: Don't enabling polling twice on runtime resume
As it turns out, on cards that actually have CRTCs on them we're already
calling drm_kms_helper_poll_enable(drm_dev) from
nouveau_display_resume() before we call it in
nouveau_pmops_runtime_resume(). This leads us to accidentally trying to
enable polling twice, which results in a potential deadlock between the
RPM locks and drm_dev->mode_config.mutex if we end up trying to enable
polling the second time while output_poll_execute is running and holding
the mode_config lock. As such, make sure we only enable polling in
nouveau_pmops_runtime_resume() if we need to.
This fixes hangs observed on the ThinkPad W541

Btrfs: disable xattr operations on subvolume directories
When you snapshot a subvolume containing a subvolume, you get a
placeholder directory where the subvolume would be. These directory
inodes have ->i_ops set to btrfs_dir_ro_inode_operations. Previously,
these i_ops didn't include the xattr operation callbacks. The conversion
to xattr_handlers missed this case, leading to bogus attempts to set
xattrs on these inodes. This manifested itself as failures when running
delayed inodes.
To fix this, clear IOP_XATTR in ->i_opflags on these inodes.

Btrfs: remove old tree_root case in btrfs_read_locked_inode()
As Jeff explained in
c2951f32d36c ("btrfs: remove old tree_root dirent
processing in btrfs_real_readdir()"), supporting this old format is no
longer necessary since the Btrfs magic number has been updated since we
changed to the current format. There are other places where we still
handle this old format, but since this is part of a fix that is going to
stable, I'm only removing this one for now.

ravb: unmap descriptors when freeing rings
"swiotlb buffer is full" errors occur after repeated initialisation of a
device - f.e. suspend/resume or ip link set up/down. This is because memory
mapped using dma_map_single() in ravb_ring_format() and ravb_start_xmit()
is not released. Resolve this problem by unmapping descriptors when
freeing rings.

pNFS: Fix a reference leak in _pnfs_return_layout
IF NFS_LAYOUT_RETURN_REQUESTED is not set, then we currently exit
without freeing the list of invalidated layout segments, leading
to a reference leak.
